John is admitted and licensed to practice before all state and federal courts in Louisiana, including the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. His practice includes general casualty and personal injury defense, insurance coverage disputes, and commercial litigation, with an emphasis in admiralty, employers' liability and workers' compensation matters. John completed his undergraduate work at the University of Virginia in 1990, and obtained his Juris Doctor from the Tulane University School of Law in 1993, graduating cum laude with a Certificate in Environmental Law. Prior to joining Murphy, Rogers, Sloss, Gambel and Tompkins, he was associated with another maritime law firm.
